Nenagh Walking Club - Aonach Ar Siúl 01/09/2017

Members please note upcoming walks.

An exciting programme has been put together by the club for the weekend away which will be a walk on the wild side in West Cork. Friday 8th September Aidan 087 9836750 will take the members for a hike along the top of Healy's Pass to Knockowen.  Please note this walk is for experienced walkers only. All other walks for the rest of the weekend are low level leisurely walks suitable for all walkers.

Saturday 9th will be a visit to Bere Island guided by Aidan. Sunday 10th, we will take the cable car to Dursey Island and for those able to stay on until Monday, they will be guided by Willie to O'Sullivan Beara' homestead ruins of Dunboy Castle around Boulin Bay.  Sunday's and Monday's outing will be guided by Willie 087 6633577.

Other walks to look forward to are Portumna and Latteragh.

For the darker evenings, Tuesday walks will be departing from Tesco at 7.30pm with a walk along the bypass just over 9K in length. Mystery hikes continue Thursday mornings meeting at Tesco Nenagh at 10.30am. Each walk is a new adventure.

Contact Willie 087 6633577 for more information on these walks.  Non-members are welcome to do 3 walks before joining the club.   Membership of the club is €45 which includes membership of Mountaineering Ireland and also covers insurance. Please refer to our web page under nenaghwalk.ie and facebook page for further information.  Hiking boots only for all hill walks, runners suited to the winter walk of the bypass.
