Nenagh Triathlon Club

Christmas Party: The social event of the year is over and everyone survived. Thanks to everyone for turning up and thanks also to the committee for their work organising the night out. The next club night out won’t be for a few months so that will have to do ye for now.

Training: Official club training will be stopping after the Saturday morning cycle, December 22nd. There is no swimming this week as the pool is closed. Turbo on Tuesday and Thursday are still going ahead along with the Friday run. Training will start back again on Wednesday, January 2nd with swimming in the evening. Enjoy the break.

Cycling: 12 members turned up for the triathlon cycle on a mucky Saturday morning. The route was from Nenagh, Toomevara, Dolla, Silvermines - here some of the group decided to take on Shalee hill while the remaining number continued onto Birdhill, Portroe and back to Nenagh. Just four cyclists braved the racing group cycle this week. Seventy miles were covered. Both groups are out again this Saturday so if you haven’t made it out in a while then try your best to be there. The racing group are planning on doing a number of long cycles over the Christmas break. Most people are on holidays so we plan on making good use out of all that free time. There will be a number of long cycles taking place between December 26th and December 30th. If you are racing with us next year we expect you to make yourself available at most of these cycles. The cycle racing calendar for 2013 is now available to view online.

Membership forms and gear orders for Team DMG are well overdue at this stage. If you haven’t submitted your details then contact Rene asap.
