Under 14s Into Cup Final

Nenagh Ormond Under 14’s were free at the weekend while they awaited the result of the other semi-final of the East Munster Cup which saw Kilfeacle defeat Waterpark. The lads beat Fethard last Sunday week to book their place in the final. This sets up a repeat of last year’s then Under 13 final between Nenagh and Kilfeacle.

The Nenagh lads go into the match with a full squad and are looking forward to the challenge. The final takes place this Sunday, April 27th, at 11am in Fethard. Please see our Facebook page (Nenagh Ormond RFC) and website (www.nenaghormondrfc.com) for updates.

Under 7’s

NORFC Under 7’s were in action in the Birr Blitz on Sunday week last. Three clubs took part, Birr, Ballinasloe and Nenagh. In order to have teams at the same level it was agreed to play with a mixture of players on two teams called Munster and Connaught. Joe O'Dwyer and Cian Hogan played for Connaught while Phelam Creagh, Harry O'Brien and David Hogan played for Munster.

There was good running in possession and handling. At one stage, the ball was passed by five players right out to the wing without any mistakes. All NORFC players scored for their teams. The game provided challenging fun and captivated the attention of the players regardless of his/her skill level. The teams were evenly matched and the final result was a draw 9-9.

The coaches would like to thank all of the Under 7 players (in addition to the players mentioned above) who took part in training sessions at NORFC during the 2013/2014 season: Jack Casey, Bill Crotty, Shaun Kennedy, Cillian Lewis, Steven McNamara, Oisin Morris, William Murphy, Kevin O'Reilly, Willie O'Brien, Armandas Paliokas, Oisin Scully, Oisin Sheahan, Jack Sullivan, Cillian Healy.
