Nenagh Ormond RFC Club Notes - 20/07/2015

Ruck n’ Roll Tag Rugby & Music Festival!

Nenagh Ormond’s Annual Tag Rugby Festival, Ruck n’ Roll, takes place on Saturday week, August 1st.  Teams will compete in four different categories, meaning that all levels are catered for from complete beginners to experienced players.  Squads will consist of 12 players, with a minimum of 2 girls on the pitch at all times.  This is always a fantastic sporting event which sees players from all codes and none taking part.

As always, the sport will be followed by plenty of music, food, entertainment & craic!  This year popular band the Electrix will headline and their blend of current and classic pop and rock songs will be sure to satisfy all tastes.  They’ll be joined by the talented Hush, ‘You Got It’ favourite Lisa Manning and the ever popular Twisty & Jay.  There will be a Food Village on site with tasty bites available between matches and into the evening and lots of fun for the kids with a go-kart track and bouncy castle obstacle course to keep them busy!

The closing date to register a team is this Friday, July 24th.  Team registration forms can be downloaded on our website www.nenaghormondrfc.com.  If you can’t join us during the day, why not pop out for the night?  Entry to the after-tag gig is just €10!

Stay tuned on our website, Facebook and Twitter for updates.

Senior XV Update

Nenagh Ormond Senior Squad resume training next Tuesday in Lisatunny.  The lads have been keeping up the hard work during the summer with fitness and skills sessions and are looking forward to the coming season.

Having worked very hard last year to retain their spot in a very competitive Division 2A the lads will be hoping to push on this year and progress in the group.  The support for the team over the years has been outstanding and has often made a difference in tight games.  We hope all of our supporters will continue to come out and cheer us on during the 2015-16 season.

Munster Rugby Summer Camp

Munster Rugby will hold a week-long Summer Camp at Nenagh Ormond RFC from Monday 10th – Friday 14th August.  Camp places are available for boys and girls from 6 years old to 12 years old.  Camp takes place between 9.30am and 1.30pm each day for the week.

Children will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as team work, respect and integrity, while learning to develop their rugby skills.  Participants are divided by their age into groups to facilitate this.

The camps are managed and run by fully accredited IRFU Mini Rugby coaches.  All Summer Camp staff have undertaken the National Garda Vetting process.

To book a place for your child, you can download a form either on the Munster Rugby website or on our own website www.nenaghormondrfc.com.
