Congratulations: Well done to Dáire Quinn who played on the Tipperary intermediate team which lost to Limerick on Sunday and to Barry Heffernan who was a member of the victorious Tipperary senior team match day squad at Páirc na nGael, Limerick.

Dermot Earley Initiative: During the October mid-term break Éire Óg will be running a Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative for members of the club between the ages of fifteen and eighteen. This unique programme aims to foster a new generation of young Irish leaders. All participants who complete the course will be awarded a certificate in Youth Leadership and Community Action from the National University of Ireland, Galway. For more information please contact 083 334 3347. The deadline for applications is July 5th - there are only fifteen places available so early applications are advisable. This unique programme aims to foster a new generation of young Irish leaders.

Senior: Nenagh Éire Óg booked their place in the final of the Dr Fogarty Cup thanks to a recent win over Lorrha-Dorrha. On Friday evening Mullinahone enjoyed a 3-13 to 1-14 win over Burgess in their corresponding semi-final. Éire Óg last appeared in the Dr Fogarty Cup final in 2013 when the Blues lost after a replay to Burgess. The final of the Dr Fogarty Cup is expected to take place in the coming weeks. The Blues will not return to championship action until the respective divisional championships reach a conclusion - Éire Óg have already qualified for the last sixteen of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Championship.

Junior A: The Nenagh Éire Óg junior A hurlers got their championship campaign off to an encouraging start at Dolla on Saturday evening when Noel Maloney’s winning point brought an entertaining encounter to a dramatic conclusion (1-17 to 2-13). The Watch Centre North Tipperary Junior A Hurling Championship will be run on a two-group system with the top team in each group progressing to the semi-finals and the second and third teams qualifying for the quarter-finals. Nenagh Éire Óg, the defending champions, have been drawn in group one alongside Kildangan, Kilruane MacDonagh’s, Silvermines and Burgess. Meanwhile group two will feature Toomevara, Borris-Ileigh, Roscrea, Knockshegowna and Templederry. This year the junior A team is managed by Greg Browne (manager), Con Morris, Michael Ryan and Conor Ryan - to read a full match report on Saturday evening's one-point win please see the club website.

Junior B: The first round of the Watch Centre North Tipperary junior B hurling championship is scheduled to take place on the week-ending June 28th. This year the team is managed by Cian Tucker (manager), Mark Long, John Paul King and Paddy Flynn. The Watch Centre Junior B Hurling Championship will be run on a two-group system with the top team in each group progressing to the semi-finals and the second and third teams qualifying for the quarter-finals. Nenagh Éire Óg have been drawn in group two alongside Ballina, Portroe, Borrisokane, Toomevara and Lorrha-Dorrha. Meanwhile group one features Silvermines, Newport, Shannon Rovers, Kildangan, Moneygall and Borris-Ileigh.

Minor A: The first round of games in the Ger Gavin-sponsored North Tipperary minor A hurling championship is expected to be played on Wednesday, July 1st or Thursday, July 2nd. John Manley's Nenagh Éire Óg team have been drawn in group one alongside Roscrea, Newport Gaels, Borris-Ileigh and Portroe. John Manley is joined on the management team by selectors Derek Lillis, Christy McLoughlin and Paudie Gleeson.
