Nenagh Éire Óg and Camogie - Club Notes 11/07/2016

Eimer Ryan presents sponsorship to Nenagh Eire Og Camogie Chairperson Caitriona Morris on behalf of John Ryan, Matheson Solicitors Dublin.

Senior Notes:

Tipperary: Congratulations to both the Tipperary senior and minor sides who both captured Munster crowns at the weekend and especially to Barry Heffernan, Daire Quinn and Andrew Coffey who are part of the senior set up. Jake Morris played an exceptional game in the minor decider bagging a personal tally of 1-4 and received the player of the match award also. Best wishes to the county under-21 side who open their Munster championship campaign this Thursday evening with a clash against Limerick in Semple Stadium at 19:30. Andrew Coffey, Conor Ryan and Barry Heffernan are all part of the panel.

Minor:

Best of luck to our minor side who face Roscrea this Wednesday evening at 19:30 in Toomevara. The lads have been working extremely hard in training in recent weeks and would really appreciate your support.

Camogie Notes:

Under-8 & under-10: Both these panels have county blitzes to play this month and mentors will be in touch with the details.

Under-12: We played two games in the last week against Roscrea and Burgess and were successful in both. Well done ladies.

Under-13: We face Knockavilla Kickhams on Monday 11th July in Dundrum. Best of luck.

Under-16: We travel to Newport on Monday to play Newport/Ballinahinch/Moneygall in the opening round of the summer league. Best of luck girls.

Bag Packing: Thanks to everyone who helped out with bag packing at the weekend, the staff in Tesco who were so welcoming and helpful and to all who so kindly donated.

Tipperary:

Well done to manager Greg Browne and players Caroline Browne and Niamh Sheridan who were part of the county under-16 side which drew with Cork in the opening round of the All Ireland championship on Friday evening. Hard luck to Meaghan Morris and Ella Carey who travelled to Dublin for a blitz at the weekend and lost the final to Cork by one point. And best wishes to the county intermediate side who play the Munster semi final this week. Rachel Maher, Grace O Brien, Ruth Hassett, Hazel McAuliffe, Sarah Quigley, Maeve Coffey and Alanna Morris are all involved.
