The well-known Tipperary pub Larkin’s (Garrykennedy) is one of thirty Irish pubs to have achieved listings in the latest Michelin Eating Out In Pubs Guide 2013 just published.
Overall, this year’s Michelin Eating Out In Pubs Guide recommends more than 550 pubs – eighty-one of which are new entries.
Geographically, these are spread from Caherciveen in County Kerry to Kylesku in the north of Scotland, Perranuthnoe in the south of England and Southwold in the east.
Noting that the standard of pub cooking just keeps getting better and better, Michelin Guide editor Rebecca Burr said: “pubs are often the heartbeat of the local community and are included in the guide because of the quality of their food whilst at the same time offering something a little extra, be it their character, setting or service”.
The Michelin Eating Out In Pubs Guide 2013 will be available in bookshops and is priced at €16.99.
