Members of the CBS Band, along with The Defence Forces Band of 2nd Brigade, under the baton of Captain John Carpenter, held a concert for schools in the area on Wednesday last. There was a huge turnout, with the hall filled to the rafters, and everyone enjoyed listening to popular hits such as "Happy"and Disney classics being played.The children were shown all the different instruments played in the band, and a lucky boy and girl got to conduct the band.
Friday, 22 May: Reminder that the family night for the band is in the CBS Secondary school at 7.30pm. Anyone interested in joining is welcome to attend on the night. As a Band member, you learn how to read music, you get tuition, an instrument,and you are part of a bright, enthusiastic group of boys and girls who enjoy playing music together.
Finally, please hold onto any old clothes as we will be collecting bags in September to raise funds for the band
