To mark the centenary of St. Mary’s Junior Boys National School a book, titled ‘A Century of Memories’, will be launched at the Abbey Court Hotel on Thursday May 23rd at 8.30p.m.
It features a collection of memories contributed by past pupils from every decade since the foundation stone for the school was laid in 1913. As well as information on the history of the school, the book contains profiles of its principals and teaching staff down through the years, and a large selection of intriguing photographs depicting the school’s past to present.
All are welcome to attend the ballrooom at the Abbey Court Hotel this Thursday night, when the book will formally be launched by Kieran O'Gorman, son of St. Mary's first principal.
A Centenary Mass will take place at St. Mary of the Rosary on June 16th at 12:00
