Team Leader/Cheese Maker

Job Description:
CASHEL TEAM LEADER/CHEESE-MAKER Due to the steady expansion of our family business, a hands on, food industry working floor manager is required to manage and make cheese with a small well established team in a modern facility, producing specialty award winning cheese or South Co Tipperary. Qualifications and experience required: Essential • Experience as a team leader • A minimum of 3 years in a food industry environment • 3rd level qualification in science or food related discipline including culinary arts • A sensitivity and respect for food • Capable of repetitive manual handling of weights up to 20 kg • Practical problem solving capabilities Beneficial • Level 2 HACCP qualifications • Internal hygiene audit experience • Experience of working in a BRC audited environment • Experience with computer programmed systems Cheese Making experience is not essential as the successful candidate will undergo training in the production of blue cheese, from the outset the candidate will assume the role of team leader and after a training period will assume the head cheese-making role. SALARY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE
