Job Description:
GRANT EFFICIENT HEATING SOLUTIONS R&D TECHNICIAN/ENGINEER With an established history of almost 40 years designing, manufacturing and supplying a wide range of multi award winning, highly efficient heating products, Grant has become a firm favourite for many householders and installers when choosing a new or replacement heating system. Grant oil boilers, biomass pellet boilers, hot water cylinders and solar water heaters are manufactured from the highest quality materials and designed not just to meet, but to exceed all relevant performance and environmental standards. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an R&D Technician/Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the R&D Manager, and play an important part in helping Grant stay at the forefront of innovation within the industry. THE ROLE: • Carry out laboratory testing and generate reports and technical documentation • Participate in design review, and designing products and processes for fabrication • Work to develop new ideas and technologies • Provide assistance and technical support to various teams within the organisation • Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the R&D Manager THE PERSON: • Degree in either Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or other relevant qualification • 2-3 years relevant experience • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a very acute attention to detail • A highly organised team player, with a desire for continuous improvement • Ability to work well under pressure • Excellent communication skills • Capacity to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality internally and externally
