Family Support Outreach Worker (Full-time post)
NTCS is a voluntary organisation providing a range of community based support, information and advocacy services to individuals, families and groups in the North Tipperary area. As part of our service, we provide Tusla-funded programmes to individuals, families and children. We are looking for an experienced Family Support Outreach Worker to help establish the Family Resource Centre component of this agency.
The role will mainly involve working in partnership with families and communities to strengthen parental capacity, relationships and to support community development. Developing outreach support will be an integral part of this role. The role is full time at 35 hours per week.
Candidates will be expected to have:
Relevant third level qualification (QQI 7 or higher) in family support, community development or equivalent
Minimum of three years’ paid experience working in the delivery of family support
Experience of supporting people to be active members of the community using a strengths-based approach.
Understanding of and commitment to family support, community development values and principles.
Experience of delivering a range of family supports e.g. Parent Training Programmes, implementing the Meitheal process etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of interagency working
Proven ability to work on own initiative
Full clean drivers licence and use of a car
