Permanent JOB LOCATION: Arrabawn Co-Op, Stafford Street, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to: Providing maintenance support Electrical and mechanical trouble-shooting Correctly logging any maintenance issues which will build the history of the machinery for future reference Possessing a demonstrable specialized technical skill across the full area of mechanical and electrical services Carrying out the execution of the preventive maintenance program Electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed, PLC-controlled plant Closely monitoring line and machine performance Ensuring the Maintenance Manager is aware of any problems on site as soon as possible. Ensuring that all relevant information is passed to the next maintenance shift. Adhering to all site policies on quality and safety.(e.g.) clean overalls, clean work boots, hair nets, hearing protection , hand washing, door closing etc. Helping to maintain company standards, e.g. quality, safety, efficiency, yield, energy, hygiene, people co-ordination etc. Servicing mechanical, electrical and non technical equipment Carrying out fault-finding and repairs to broken-down equipment, contacting and coordinating service engineers where external assistance is required Assisting subcontractors as required Maintaining appropriate records Assisting in the installation of new plant and equipment. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness Ensuring compliance at all times with Health & Safety and legislative requirements Carrying out any other duties as directed by your manager REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate must possess the following: Qualified electrician with a recognised apprenticeship (essential) Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience within a similar role Flexibility to work shift and weekends Experience with mechanical issues and a good level of mechanical cross-skilling. Ability to work on own initiative
