The Nenagh.ie 10K will take place on Sunday October 12th 2014. The Nenagh.ie 10K is a 10K Run or Walk event to raise funds for the Horse Riding for the Disabled Nenagh Branch. It will Start and Finish at the Nenagh GAA Grounds (MacDonagh Park) and will get underway at 10.30am. Registration on the morning of the event will take place between 8:45 and 9:45AM at a cost of €20. However Online Registration will cost €15 + €1 registration fee. The first 200 entrants will receive a free high visibility Dri Fit running vest. All entrants will receive a number and timing chip.

Question 1: Where does my timing chip go?
Answer: Tie to your shoe.
Question 2: Where can I park my car?
Answer: On site parking at Nenagh GAA Grounds (MacDonagh Park) will be available.
Question 3: Where is the Start Line?
Answer: At Nenagh GAA Grounds (MacDonagh Park).
Question 4: Where is the Finish Line?
Answer: At Nenagh GAA Grounds (MacDonagh Park).
Question 5: Can I bring a dog/pram/bicycle?
Answer: Prams are allowed, but not dogs or bicycles. (Guide dogs excepted).
Question 7: Can I pay by credit/debit card on the day?
Answer: No. Unfortunately, there will be no card facility available on the day.
Question 10: Will there be road closures?
Answer : No, there will be stewarding along the course and at all road junctions and roundabouts.
Question 11: Will there be Emergency Services available?
Answer : Yes, there will be an Ambulance on site.

For all you beginners out there, if you’ve just signed up for the Nenagh.ie 10k, and are worried about not having enough training done, fear not you still have time to get ready for your race. This training program is designed for beginner runners who want to build up to running a 10K in about four weeks times. This schedule is for beginners, but also for beginners who are already a little bit active say involved in some form of fitness activity at least twice a week and can already run 3 miles! This programme will get you across the 6.2 mile line in one piece.
CT = Cross Train = swimming, fast walking, yoga, biking or any other activity that you like
ER = Easy Run = nice and slow pace that is comfortable enough to be able to talk if you have someone running with you.

Day 1: 30 min CT or Rest
Day 2: 2 miles ER
Day 3: 30 min CT or Rest
Day 4: 2 miles ER
Day 5: Rest
Day 6: 3 miles LR
Day 7: 2 miles brisk walk or Rest
