Nenagh Arts Centre is returning to Limerick’s Milk Market to present three big screen films this Summer on Saturday July 27th, Friday August 9th and Saturday August 10th. The films will be presented in the central area of the market, with seating in place. The market will essentially become a cinema for the evening. Food and drink stalls will be open on screening nights also.
Film –‘The Birds’ (Dir Alfred Hitchcock/USA/1963/119 mins)
Tippi Hedren stars in Hitchcock’s stylish classic inspired by the original novella by Daphne du Maurier. Nature turns on the community when socialite Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) arrives on a small island in pursuit of potential boyfriend Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor), and hoardes of birds descend and violently attack.
