Fun Run in Aid of The Little Lifetime Foundation

Trish O’Shea is organising a Fun Run in aid of The Little Lifetime Foundation on Friday 24th June at 8pm from Ballycommon.

Trish and her husband Fergus had triplet girls 12 years ago: Angel, Jessie & Nikki. While two of the girls didn’t survive, they spent some time in the Neonatal unit in Limerick Maternity Hospital. Baby Nikki survived 9 days and then left this world to join her sisters in heaven.

The care they received in St Munchins I.C.U. was second to none and they will always be grateful. On June 28th they would have been 13 years old along with their sister, and Trish is organising a 5k Fun Run to celebrate their birthday suitable for Runners / walkers / crawlers & even children.

The 5k Fun Run starts at Ballycommon Hall @8:00 pm. You can register just beforehand from 7:30 pm on.

A message fromTrish:

“We are going to do our 3 Angels Road Run / Walk again this year in memory of our Triplets Angel Jessie & Nikki who were born on 28th of june 2003. If they had survived they would be 13 soon. Can you imagine the chaos 4 teenage girls under 1 roof? Charlie was only 1 when they were born and Josh and Callum thrown in the middle. I’d be in a nut house. lol.

Unfortunately they all departed this world very soon after their arrival. Angelina was Stillborn. Jessica only survived a few hours but Baby Nicole stayed with us for over a week.. we were v lucky to meet them but very sad to leave them but heaven was easier they thought than life in the funny farm that is Tir na nog. Last year with your help we raised €4,840 for the Neonatal unit in limerick maternity hospital that looked after all our babies. This year we are hoping to donate our funds to A little Lifetime Foundation ( formerly ISANDS)which unfortunately all of us know someone who has needed them as they take care of families who have lost children through Miscarriage. Stillborn. Or any infant death..I admire them hugely for the work they do and if we can help even a small bit I’d really appreciate your help. Our family and friends & Running group the Durty Mudders and the halls committee as well as over 300 of ye took part last year I hope we can do it all again this year.

Registration from 7:30 pm in the hall. Hope to start at 8:00 pm and all be back for tea & buns in the hall for 9:00 pm. Will you join us? Suitable for children and buggy and very fast runners.

Perpetual cup for 1st woman, man, and child under 14 home.”
