Food producers and restaurant owners surrounding Lough Derg have joined forces in an effort to promote the region as a food tourism destination.
‘A Taste of Lough Derg 2014’, a pilot initiative for 2014, features 13 separate food events taking place in villages and towns along the shores of Lough Derg in counties Clare, Galway and Tipperary.
The first event takes place on Sunday 13th July at 3.00pm at Sunny Meadow Farm, Powers Cross, Portumna. Two Portumna food producers have teamed up to invite you on a guided tour of the naturally and locally produced delights of Sunny Meadow Farm topped off with a BBQ & cheese tastings from award winning Killeen Cheese.
